As promised, here are my photos from the week of Labor Day. Benjamin and I took a trip to Findlay while Jeremy worked. It was nice, except that B decided not to nap or sleep at night…so it made for a few exhausting days… and we didn’t get to see as many people as we wanted to, but we still had fun.
Here he is wearing one of Daisy’s toys like a mink. He thought this was especially funny. The skunk looked funnier, but I didn’t have the camera at the right moment.
Nana and Benjamin played with a train table at the North Baltimore Public Library where Nana used to work. B is quickly becoming obsessed with train tables. Whenever he sees one, he must stop and play. The hard part is leaving the trains behind.
They checked out a few books, and Benjamin has a new favorite… ”Puff Puff CHugga Chugga.” It is about a train with animal passengers. And, he gets to shout “AAAAHHHHH MMMM” Which is ah choo, but he can’t say “Choo.”
His other new words are…drumroll… NANA! YEs…he says Nana to Nana and also for banana. It is a wonderful thing that he can say it now. He also says milk, finally, “cup,” “juice” (which he rarely gets) and “oat meal.”
We went to Culvers…a Cincinnati restaurant that has located in Findlay. Benjamin swiped Papa’s milk shake and refused to give it back.
Benjamin loves his Papa and his Daisy doggy.
Luckily, Benjamin has an adventurous Grandma, because I am usually so cautious about him getting dirty,..no fun I know. But, here he found out how fun getting dirty, throwing pebbles and playing near the water can be! And, a bonus, Uncle Brian and Aunt Keri were home to play.
A Tomato (another new word).
When we got home, Daddy was able to spend two whole days with us. It was WONDERFUL!
I just had to post this one. Hilarious face from Benjamin as he snuggled with us on the couch and played with the ipod.
Random photos…this is his tomato soup. He stirred cherry tomatoes in measuring cups with measuring spoons.
