Meet Abigail Mae Hilty! She was born at 9 a.m. Friday, May 18 at 7 pounds 20 inches long. We adore her and look forward to showing her off.
These photos are in a somewhat random order…because life is pretty out of order right now anyway. I am not sure how we are getting by with the lack of sleep, but we are hanging in there! Abby loves to cuddle, so she didn’t like getting separated from me when she was born. She has stuck close ever since! Her favorite place to be is wrapped up in a carrier and with me or Jeremy at all times.
Benjamin wasn’t sure what to make of his baby sister. I think he is pretty proud to show her off as long as he gets the lions share of the attention. He has had a few rough moments of adjustment, but he is making progress. Today, he “helped” make Abby more comfortable by covering her (completely) with a blanket. Yesterday, he sang “Jesus Loves me” to her to get her to stop crying in the car.
While I was in the hospital a few days, my parents came to stay with Benjamin. The decorated the nursery and did so much to help out around the house!
This is the wrap I use right now while she can’t hold up her head. I am so excited to try out the new carrier from my grandparents when she is a bit older. In the meantime, this thing is WONDERFUL!

My sister-in-law, Christy Kayle, came to help me out over the long weekend. It was exactly what I needed to get through those sleepless nights. She cleaned my house, entertained Benjamin and kept me sane! Plus, it gave us an excuse for a little family time with my parents and sister too. Logan, Brody and Benjamin played wonderfully together…and also fought like siblings. But, I think for the most part, they loved being together!
We got them matching outfits for a family photo.
Aunt Kim took Benjamin and Logan swimming and to Jump and Jacks to play.
People from church have been bringing me wonderful meals, so it helped to have extra people to eat them. We typically had enough food for a crowd!
Brody missed his Daddy, who is away at Chaplain training with the Army for six weeks. SO, Jeremy tried to fill in some. They bonded over video games.
Jan and Joe came to visit, and I posted the link of the photos Jan took before she left. Unfortunately, she got pretty sick and we didn’t get any photos.
Bob also came to visit.
And so did my good friend Katie Gonso and her boyfriend Jeremy.
More later. Abby is crying…
