A day at the museum

Benjamin is growing quite fond of the Children’s Museum. I am looking forward to taking him to see the Natural History museum and history of Cincinnati museum as well soon. They all are in the most beautiful old train station.

We met some new friends, Katie and Olivia. Katie works with Jeremy, and he introduced us.

Anyway, here they are…

The ball room… our favorite place!

Wait for it…  Since I am such a nice mom, I put Benjamin right underneath the ball drop. A light and siren goes off every few minutes after a bunch of balls are collected. The whole room is filled with pipes and conveyor belts to move balls along the celling. Anyway, he was waiting to see what would happen when…

Ouch! Mommy tried it afterward, and they do fall kind of hard. Smile

So, other updates…

Benjamin took me for a run the other day, demanding that I “go,go,go!” whenever I slowed down, and then signing “more” whenever it looked like I might head back home. Some people pay for personal trainers…mine works for milk and bananas.

Benjamin has taken to hopping around the house (sort of) and shushing with his finger. I think he now thinks they go together, since I taught him to do both on the same day. It is kind of funny.  He now shakes his head no, because he can’t really say it…and he does it quite often with a little impish grin on his face.

He still loves to pick tomatoes, and bite them before spitting the contents onto the floor. He is in a clingy, ride on mommy’s hip mood a lot lately when we are home. But, we almost are finished with the teething craziness…I hope. I can see that last tooth about to pop through!

Hmm, well I can’t think of much else. So, I will leave you with this video of Benjamin’s repertoire.  He has more words than this, but I couldn’t think of them all. This week he learned, “House,” “Moon,” and a few others. He also does a few more animal noises…

Oh…per the beginning of the clip, he likes to imitate my surprised reaction…like if I drop something on the floor. You should see him imitate me killing a bug!
