Gearing up…

We are in the home stretch, and I think everyone around here is  nesting.

We likely will have a few more weeks…but no more than four, so I have been doing my best to get ready! I don’t think there is any way to really prepare as much as I want. It is hard enough keeping Benjamin entertained and the house picked up. But, we are enjoying our time together.

Here are a few random photos of Benjamin. It’s a parade!

I love this little guy! We are having so much fun. He is mastering his colors, shapes and numbers. We are getting better at letters, though 26 of them are a lot to learn. Winking smile He continues to LOVE socializing with his friends, and he is getting SLIGHTLY better at sharing. We are working on this constantly. Benjamin LOVES to run, and rarely wants to sit still…unless a train or a car are involved. He is wearing size 8 shoes, 2t tops and 18-24 month bottoms. His pants typically are too short, but he is super skinny and weighs about 26 pounds. We are glad to be moving into shorts season. He is very chatty with me at home, but around a lot of people, he tends to smile and want to be in the thick of things, but says very little. I love how he repeats EVERYTHING we say, and even attempts long words like “cooperate.”

He adores reading, and sometimes we read the same book five times a day or more. He is really into names and titles. So, he will tell you the exact name of the book he wants to read. He asks what everything is called, and he loves to point out where objects are from…like if he received a toy from a relative or if he got something from a certain store. Benjamin has a song in his heart almost always, and it is precious to hear him sing all day long. He especially loves to sing the Barney “I love you” song to us. Today, he asked me to play the same song in the car three times. It was something along the lines of “Love the Lord with all your heart, la, la la, la la la …” He sits in the back singing on the top of his lungs.

Well, I better get going, but I will keep trying to take photos. He makes it difficult, since he wants to see them before we even take them, and typically a battle over the camera ensues…
